Control medical costs from year to year

Offering Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) to your employees gives them incentive to become better, more informed healthcare decision-makers, which may lower medical cost trends overtime – helping to minimize premium increases in future years. Employees who understand their annual healthcare and dependent care expenses and how to use the accounts wisely can significantly lower their out-of-pocket expenses and have a positive financial impact on your bottom line as well.

Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts are just two of the ways that PHP Management Systems can help you optimize your benefit plan and lower your tax cost. We can assist your company with selecting a healthcare plan, providing master plan documents, educating employees and providing total plan administration including all required forms.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

FSAs give employees another way to lower their out-of-pocket costs. In addition, employee contributions to these accounts can also lower your payroll taxes.

Healthcare FSA - Your employees set aside pre-tax payroll deductions to cover qualified expenses that:
  • May not be reimbursed by the health plan
  • May not be reimbursable under the HRA or other reimbursement plans (where applicable)
Dependent Care FSA - Your employees set aside pre-tax payroll deductions to cover eligible dependent care expenses such as daycare and preschool costs that are then reimbursed from their account.

Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

Used as part of the total healthcare solution, HRAs work in conjunction with any health plan to give you the advantage of lower healthcare premiums and tax savings since HRA reimbursements are 100% tax deductible.
  • If you choose a health plan with higher deductible amounts such as $1,000 - $5,000, you may save additional premium costs
  • Premium savings from these health plans are often more than enough to fully fund HRA reimbursement costs
